#20 of 30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days Blog Hop and Quilt Along - Classic

Today is the 20th day of
30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days.

A blog hop and quilt along.
Every day in April there will be one super simple quilt block tutorial for the quilt along here
and
one designer showing a project with that block on their blog.

30 days of bloggers
showing new and different ways to use each of the
30 quilt blocks.

Today's all-star blogger is

Let's get started on

Block 20 - Classic
The name says it all.

Size Unfinished: 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
Finished Size: 10 x 10"

Cut 4 rectangles 3" x 51/2" - white
Cut 4 squares 3" x 3" - red
Cut 1 square 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" - red

Stitch them together as laid out with 1/4" seams.

Stitch the corner squares to the small side rectangles
then stitch the top and bottom middle rectangles to the middle square.
Next stitch the three columns together.

Make 30 blocks, but make half of them with another color way
and put them together for a fast and fun quilt.

See what our all-star blogger of the day,
made with this block.

I am using Tula Pink's newest fabric collection,
All Stars to show each block.

And you can win your own bundle of All Stars too.
The giveaway ends April 29th.
I will announce the winner on the last day of the blog hop
April 30th.

Thanks for another nudge to quilt more!
I always like this block for the Irish Chain look it provides, along with the ability to do some Fussy Cut Work for the larger block. So simple, yet can be so dramatically effective.

It is interesting when you see the blocks lined up next to each other like that. I did not expect it to form squares like that. ;-
