30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days Blog Hop and Quilt Along - Day 6

Welcome to day 6 of

30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days.

A blog hop and quilt along.
Every day in April there will be one super simple quilt block tutorial for the quilt along here
one designer showing a project with that block on their blog.

30 days of designers
showing new and different ways to use each of the
30 quilt blocks.

Today's all-star blogger is

Let's get started on

Block 6 - Tacked Up

Size Unfinished: 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
Finished Size: 10 x 10"

Cut 2 squares 5 1/2" - 1 gray (racoon)/1 white
Cut 2 strips 3" x 5 1/2" - white
Cut 4 squares 3" x 3" - purple

Stitch them together as laid out with 1/4" seams.
Stitch the two center squares first,
then sew the purple squares to the ends of each white strip.
Finally, stitch the 3 units together.

And that is #6, Tacked Up.
Here's one idea for a quilt using this block:

See what our all-star blogger of the day,

How interesting to see this one after seeing dutch door. I like this fabric line more and more as the blocks move along. I wouldn't have bought them at the start of the week, but now I'm thinking ... maybe I need those. =)
