Revisits for Unbelievable Cuteness

How life can change in one year.

I posted this tutorial last year
over on the Thermoweb Blog
before I knew I was going to be a Grammy.

Yesterday, my sweet Grandbaby modeled the outfit for the first time...

She just makes the outfit so much cuter and I'm so glad I kept it for her.
This is her first photo sitting up on her own, too.
She is sitting on a blanket my mom (Great Grammy) made for her.
I just can't believe this could be any cuter.

This was another tutorial from this year over on the
I usually practice on one before I make the full tutorial.

She makes my practice perfect.

And one more...

This one was back in April this year for

She was able to wear this one once before
the dress was shipped away to be used for a background piece
for a top-secret project...  (shhh)

LOL
I don't think she was happy with me that day,
but maybe when the dress comes back it will fit her better and she will smile.

I've learned to make things a bit larger so she can wear them longer.
I learned my lesson with these.

She only wore them once...

This is truly one of life's blessings,
this grandparent thing.

HeatnBond EZ Print Lite Watermelon Truck Pillow - Life is Sweet

Today I have a
HeatnBond EZ Print Lite
Watermelon Truck Pillow
"Life is Sweet"
tutorial over on the

My grandpa raised watermelon on his farm
and
people would come from all over to purchase his sweet watermelon.

A cherished picture of him with a truckload of watermelon was the inspiration for this pillow.

Those were the days when people would go out to the farm,
weigh their own watermelon,
and
pay by putting money in the box by the house.

A fruit stand with much trust.

Watermelon was always a big thing in my family
and
I have the best memories of watermelon feeds.
Just picking up a chunk and eating it
(no plates or silverware).
Spitting seeds and juice was everywhere...

We would just hose off the back patio and picnic table when all the watermelon was gone.

The pattern and tutorial for the pillow is over at
today.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Life is so sweet...

Christmas in July - Santa is Here

Welcome to
Creatin' in the Sticks
and
to my day in the

Thank you, sweet Carol, for hosting this super fun and jolly hop!

Santa is here!!

But he's a little uncomfortable on the stump...

So let's pull him up a Santa sized chair.

And then he needs a Christmas rug for his feet.

All of the projects today here in the Sticks are from stash projects and ufos.

Santa was made from a panel I've had foreverrrrrrrrrr.

His chair was made from fabric in my stash and I drafted my own pattern.
To make it stiff, I used plastic canvas inside.

Santa's rug has very little sewing involved and was made
with 4 strands of lots of Christmas fabric and braided.

I used a tutorial from Mother Earth News to make the rug.
Find the tutorial by clicking HERE.

To end my Christmas in July celebration I finished a Christmas quilt.

It's 50" x 60"
and
this quilt was part of the
challenge.
The top was ready in December.

But now it's quilted and the binding is finished.

The full free tutorial for the quilt can be found by clicking HERE.

I'll see you Monday.

Thank you, everyone, that have emailed wondering about me.
I took a little break from everything for a couple of weeks and it did me so much good.
I've cleaned my closets and had a garage sale.
When the closet doors open, rainbows shoot out and angels sing.
It's amazing what a break can do for the soul.

Now let's get back to stitching!!!!!
