HeatnBond EZ Print Lite Watermelon Truck Pillow - Life is Sweet

Today I have a
HeatnBond EZ Print Lite
Watermelon Truck Pillow
"Life is Sweet"
tutorial over on the

My grandpa raised watermelon on his farm
people would come from all over to purchase his sweet watermelon.

A cherished picture of him with a truckload of watermelon was the inspiration for this pillow.

Those were the days when people would go out to the farm,
weigh their own watermelon,
pay by putting money in the box by the house.

A fruit stand with much trust.

Watermelon was always a big thing in my family
I have the best memories of watermelon feeds.
Just picking up a chunk and eating it
(no plates or silverware).
Spitting seeds and juice was everywhere...

We would just hose off the back patio and picnic table when all the watermelon was gone.

The pattern and tutorial for the pillow is over at

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Life is so sweet...

Hello Carla; This is an amazing project and post! I am sitting here thinking about my Dad and how much I miss him. He absolutely loved watermelon and once they were in season, there was hardly a day that went by when he did not have it to eat. I wish this would have been available a few years ago, but it is now. So, I will make it up for family to remember his love of watermelon! Thank you so much for sharing your Special Talents and your own Special Memories to share and create them! Have a fantastic day!

I love this Carla, but I searched high and low on Thermoweb site and could not find the tutorial to make this. The links you have does not go to the project, just their site and searching for this on their site couldn't be found. I really wanted to make it too.

I want to make sure you know that applique is my favorite quilting technique and your truck of watermelons is awesome!! My Dad passed away in November 2017 and he was my number one fan. He also loved watermelon and would have loved this as a gift. I will be making it and giving it to several relatives as a helpful healing and memory of my Dad. I know you had no idea, but still, Thank You so much!!! Although my tears are falling, my heart is very slowly healing. You are a fabulous artist and quilter. Have a great day!
