30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days - Block 1

Let's start this Challenge with the most basic block:

The 4 patch.

Size Unfinished: 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
Finished Size: 10 x 10"

Cut 4 squares 5 1/2"

Stitch them together as laid out with 1/4" seams.

The first block of the 30 Day Quilt Block Challenge is finished.

That was fast and easy, right?

This block can be the best when used in a quilt!
Make one or make a bunch and use them to make a whole quilt.

This would be a pretty quilt...

When my younger son was born, I was teaching on the Navajo Reservation. The women of the Presbyterian church brought me a baby bag and it had a yellow print and solid four-patch flannel quilt in it. I was so excited to have someone give me a quilt, even if it was for the baby! =)
