30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days - Block 22

Block number 22 is here.
Can you believe we've made it this far?

I'm having too much fun.

Block #22

Cross Walk

Size Unfinished: 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
Finished Size: 10 x 10"

Cut 4 rectangles 3" x 6" -  2 white / 2 pink
Cut 1 rectangle 5 1/2" x 10 1/2" - white

Stitch the 3" x 6" rectangles together as laid out with 1/4" seams.
Next cut the sewn unit in half lengthwise to make two 3" x 10 1/2" units.

Flip one strip over and to the other side of the large rectangle.

Stitch the columns together as laid out with 1/4" seams.

That is 22 blocks finished.

If you want to make a quilt with this block, here is an idea:

Cut 3" squares for the border and it's a modern checked stripe quilt.

Hi Kathleen, there are many ways to subscribe to Creatin' in the Sticks. All of the links are on the side bar. Email is probably the simplest. You'll find that on the side bar as well.
