It's Day 1 of the Stitch It and Gift It Blog Hop and Giveaway

Today we begin the Stitch It and Gift It Blog Hop

I have invited bloggers to start the season of giving with a blog hop
celebrating the art of sewing or quilting
and then
gifting.

Some of the stitched gifts will be small and some will be large.

Some will be personal and some will be charitable donations.

It will be a week of gift-giving inspiration!

I'm excited to introduce today's line-up of bloggers.

Monday, November 11th

Have fun visiting each blog and making new friends.

They have worked hard to show us some new ideas, so be sure to thank them with
a sweet comment!

Find the rest of the schedule by clicking HERE

You can find links to all the posts on the Pinterest Board.

I am always moved by the giving hearts of so many quilters
and
love reading the stories behind the gifts.

The gifts we give aren't always personal
but
are from just wanting to make a difference for someone.

Today is Veteran's Day in the USA.
Here's a great way to give:

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.

Did you know the Quilts of Valor Foundation
is accepting quilt blocks as well as quilts in 2020?

Today is a great day to start making blocks for

In the spirit of gifting
here is a
GIVEAWAY

One of my favorite online fabric shops is

One of my readers will receive a
$25.00 Gift Card to go
SHOPPING!!!

Come back every day of the hop, visit all the blog posts of the day, leave a comment,
and
 enter the giveaway.
(I've extended the time to enter to allow for everyone to visit all the blogs)

The winner will be announced on Monday, November 18th, 2019.

I love your QOV quilt, I still have to finish my batik one and already started my QAL one. odd that IB never showed mine, maybe because it's only a top?

Today was so much fun!! From the bags made from leftover donation quilts, potholders that could be wall art, hospital gowns for dolls, microwave bowl cozies, to full-sized quilts!! Amazingly talented quilters and I can't wait for day two!!

I am so happy to see that some of the first postings relate to "giving" versus "gifting". It is so important in today's world that we remember to "thank" and "remember" those who support our country's freedoms and those who have issues beyond their control. I hope more of these are like that! I will be joining the doll program for sick children, and already contribute to the Quilts of Valor program.

I'm hoping to find some great ideas for last minute gifts. Maybe some ornaments. I like the little bags.

I love the idea that so many bloggers on this hop are gifting their creations to a non-profit organization. Handmade goods are always filled with so much love and are always appreciated!
