Tea Time - Dust Off a Quilt Book Blog Hop

It's the week of the minis here in the Sticks.
How about some tea?

Today is my stop in the
Dust Off a Quilt Book
Blog Hop
Hosted by Bea at Beaquilter

The idea is for the hop is to find an old quilt book on your shelf and make something from it.

Here is my lovely:

21 years?  Wasn't that just yesterday?
I really was into Debbie Mumm too.
That seems so long ago and so crazy.

Finished size:  15" x 14"

I purchased this book a couple year ago at an antique shop for 3 dollars
It has a quilt in it with baseball gloves, bats, and balls that I really want to make someday, but time wasn't on my side to do it this time.

So I chose this cute mini and updated it with more modern colors from my stash.

Oh yes, this is a really cute little quilt. I didn't know that it was possible to see so many interesting things from old books until this week.

Tea & coffee drinker here so love the caffeine theme quilt.

Your quilt looked familiar because I have that book too and bought it new way back then. I love how fresh and new your quilt looks in the brighter colors rather than the country colors Debbie Mumm used. I may need to dust off that book myself and look at it with fresh eyes. Nicely done Carla.

I have that book, too. And I haven't made one thing from it. Your little quilt is so cute. Thanks for sharing it.

So darncute! Who doesn't love teacups?

What a cute wall hanging, especially with the colors you chose! Besides, I'm a tea drinker, so this one holds special appeal for me. I have several Debbie Mumm books and made some of her projects "back in the day." Think I need to go through them again... :)

Isn't it amazing what a few years can do to our perspective of what are the best colors for a piece. I believe I owned this book at one time, possibly still do ;-} Love what you did with this mini.

What a cute little mini! Your version definitely looks more modern. It's amazing what a difference fabric choice can make :)

I had this book at one time... I miss all my Debbie Mumm books, she has the coolest projects and yours is no exception. I love the teacups and what a great job you did with the colors making it bright and cheerful. My apologies for being so slow to post a comment, but I'm still just getting around to all the blogs from last week's two different hops.
