Virtual Cookie Exchange - Spread Joy

It's time to make Christmas happen here in the Sticks
and
my friend Carol at Just Let Me Quilt
has a way of pushing me to get my projects finished on time.

Welcome to
Creatin' in the Sticks
and
my stop for the
where bloggers are sharing Christmas cookies recipes, traditions, and/or sewing projects.
Thank you, Carol, for including me!

'Tis the season to spread JOY!

I'm thrilled to have a free tutorial over at the
today for this
JOY Wreath
and
Merry and Bright Fabrics by Corri Dantini for Blend Fabrics.

Put it together in an afternoon.
(I made it faster than I iced the cookies - lol)

The free PDF pattern and tutorial is available today by clicking HERE.

When I found out my tutorial for Thermoweb was the same day as my post for the hop
I decided to try a theme of JOY and that is how these cookies happened.

Lemon JOY Cookies
(not the dishwashing liquid - lol)

They are sweet and tart at the same time.

I made the recipe a JPG file so just right click on it to save it.

Here is the list of bloggers ready to show you some new ideas and traditions for your holiday:

Please leave each one a sweet comment.
It gives warm and fuzzies...
(Don't leave them feeling left out)
We remember feelings...  just saying.

Thank you for stopping by
and
thank you, Carol, for this fun hop!.

One more quick thing:
Our hop for January is filling up but there is still time to join the

Black & White Blog Hop.

I hope your season is full of JOY!

Those cookies sound delicious and the decorating is awesome. Love that JOY decoration too! (I actually made one sort of like that too many years ago to count, umm, maybe 35???) The fabrics you chose are neat--my tastes have changed and I like yours much better than mine. :) Thanks for sharing your wonderful creativity! I always enjoy seeing what you make.

You've definitely won the Queen of Letters crown for these joy-ful pillows...love them! The lemon cookies sound so delicious and would be a winner for my lemon-loving hubby. Did you know that you have been in every Virtual Cookie Exchange of mine? Thank you for being my friend and inspiration throughout all these years! xo

Hi Carla! Oh yummy - lemon cookies and frosting. That is a fabulous idea to cut the sweets a bit. I will definitely have to give these a try! Oh so many good recipes shared this year, and there's still a day to go. These would be good any time though - I can see them in the summer with that nice tart lemon taste. YUM. Thanks for sharing the recipe and your project. Happy Happy Wednesday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne

What a joyful post. Thanks for sharing! Years ago my husband and I would do music for the Sunday School kids and one of the songs was J-O-Y. J is for Jesus, O is for others and Y is for you, you, you and you and you. Fun times. :) MelvaLovesScraps at NolanQualityCustoms dot com

Every bit as wonderful as I anticipated! I will have to look for those cookie cutters, but in the meantime, I think an oval iced with the letters might work, don't you? I love lemon cookies, and I have a fresh lemon my friend brought me from her tree! Now I'm going to read your tutorial on the other site. Thank you for so much holiday cheer!

I regularly make sugar cookies but rarely frost them! I may need to try your icing recipe and have some fun this year.
