This is the third challenge of Season 14 of Project Quilting.
My entry:
54-40 In Miniature
Kim at Persimon Dreams hosts Project Quilting
and
and
this is the 10th year I'm participating.
Kim announces a challenge and you have one week to create something quilty.
Prizes can be won and it's a great way to meet new blogging friends.
The rule in this challenge is to be inspired by and use the traditional 54-40 or Fight block.
It must include either applique, piecing, or have 3 layers stitched together by hand or machine.
Since I've kind of developed a theme this year for the challenges of quilting tiny, so
I decided to do it again. Kim has a post with a few tutorials and ideas to help get started with the quilt block and I was inspired by the Missouri Star - 54-40 or Fight Freestyle Quilt Tutorial.
They used the Shoo Fly Quilt block with the 54-40 or Fight Quilt block.
I loved it but went tiny with mine.
Not perfect, but I still had a lot of fun!

Love how you have done this. Your pin cushions are great. I love having extra pin cushions that I have sewn sitting beside my sewing machine.

Your pincushion is darling! That's a LOT of tiny TINY pieces!
So beautiful and so tiny! I can see the appeal of this pattern to quilters, even long after that fight was over. It's great in patriotic colors.
