Hello Fall - Halloween Friends

Welcome to Creatin' in the Sticks
and
my day - the final day for the
Hello Fall Blog Hop.

To all that participated or commented -
Thank you so much!
I enjoy hosting blog hop events so much.

My head is swimming with all kinds of ideas
and I can't wait to get to stitching.

But first, it's my day to show my
"Halloween Friends".

The story is that I have one granddaughter, Lizzy, and when Thermoweb asked me to design a doll earlier this year, I created one with her in mind.
She has loved that doll every since.
This Halloween, she is going to dress as a witch.
So I tweaked the original design to make a witch doll.

Lizzy is in love with the idea of being a witch for Halloween.
Aren't all 2 1/2-year-olds?
I'm starting a new thing.  Every fall I'm going to make a doll to go with her costumes.
We will have something to remember and she will have something I made her.

Last year she wanted to be a kitty cat until her cousin was a witch.
But it was too late to change the costume and she was an adorable black cat.

So for the hop, I've made her doll for this year (witch)
and have gone back to make dolls for the last 2 years too.
Here is her black cat doll.

For her first Halloween, Lizzy was a pink dinosaur.
Here she is with her mommy and daddy.

And here is year one - pink dino doll.

Lizzy has seen the pink dinosaur and black cat.
She called them her Halloween Friends.
Perfect.
I'm all caught up with her first 3 Halloweens.

Then she said that I need to make Frankenstein.  HAHA
We will see what she decides for her costume next year.
I want to make a special bag to hold the dolls too - maybe next year...with Frankenstein.  HA

It's official, Fall is here
so I invited friends to stitch up something to do with the fall season
and
show it in the Hello Fall Blog Hop.

Such a novel idea Carla, and I love the idea that they are soft and squishy, so her little hands can love them and hug them, without any worry that she might ingest anything that could harm her. She will have quite the collection by the time she's an adult! lol

What a cute idea, making dolls for her each year! My grandmother, and later my mom, always made me a flannel nightgown each Christmas, with a matching nightgown for my doll. I loved it, and my mom carried on that tradition for my daughter. Your dolls are wonderful, and I'm sure she'll enjoy them. Thanks for hosting a fun hop too!
