Block #19 is Weave - 30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days Blog Hop and Quilt Along

Welcome to day 19 of

30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days.

A blog hop and quilt along.
Every day in April there will be one super simple quilt block tutorial for the quilt along here
and
one designer showing a project with that block on their blog.

30 days of designers
showing new and different ways to use each of the
30 quilt blocks.

Today's all-star blogger is

showing a project with
Block 19 - Weave

This block can be made with different colorways to make a quilt with a weave effect.

Here's the block:

Size Unfinished: 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
Finished Size: 10 x 10"

Cut 2 rectangles 3" x 51/2" - gray
Cut 4 squares 3" x 3" - pink
Cut 1 rectangle 5 1/2" x 10 1/2" - white

Stitch them together as laid out with 1/4" seams.

Stitch the corner squares to the small side rectangles
then stitch the rectangle units to the sides of the large rectangle.

Now, make more blocks with the gray in the middle and the white on the sides.

Put them together to get a 4 block unit like this.

Make more blocks and make a weaved quilt.

Check out what our designer of the day,
made with this block.

I am using Tula Pink's newest fabric collection,
All Stars to show each block.

And you can win your own bundle of All Stars too.
The giveaway ends April 29th.
I will announce the winner on the last day of the blog hop
April 30th.

  1. I can't believe that we are already on our 19th block. These have been so fun and will make a great future reference.

  2. I love this one too! I know I'm repetitious, but it's true. I also love those little faces peeking out all over.

  3. I look forward every day to my email for this blog hop. It us so fun, and I am discovering new bloggers every day. The interpretation of the blocks, the different fabric choices, and then the projects are great motivators to try something different, yet use a simple block. I love the fabrics you're using.

  4. I really enjoyed today's block tutorial and the quilt also. This is one of the many blocks that I will use to make an entire quilt out of. Thank you so much for designing, sharing and writing the tutorial plus the give away! Just a great Blog Hop in every way! Have a fantastic day!

  5. I like that the blocks are so easy to sew up. And then the quilt tops that are designed with them look lovely. The fabrics are great.
