Day 2, Block 2 - 30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days

Welcome to day 2 of
30 Quilt Blocks in 30 Days.

Every day in April there will be one quilt block for the sew along here
and
one designer showing a project with that block on their blog.

Let's get to the block and then you can hop on over to see what
has created with the block.

Block #2
Double Stuffed

Size Unfinished: 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
Finished Size: 10 x 10"

Cut 3 strips:

1 for the middle: 5 1/2" x 10 1/2"
2 for top and bottom:  3" x 10 1/2"

Stitch them together as laid out with 1/4" seams.

Block #2 is finished!

Only 28 more to go to make this modern quilt with lots of negative space for quilting.
Using one color?  Find the fabric requirements in the tab above.

If you love this block, you could always make a bunch of them for a quilt.

Check out what our designer of the day, Kwilty Pleasures Blog made with this block.

I am using Tula Pink's newest fabric collection, All Stars to show each block.

And you can win your own bundle of All Stars too.
The giveaway starts April 1st and ends April 29th.
I will announce the winner on the last day of the blog hop
April 30th.

Comment on the designer of the day and come back here to enter every day in April
for a chance to win the All Stars fabric bundle.

  9. I have to behave a few days before I can start the hop, but I'm definitely ready. I think about you every time I'm near Dodge.

  10. I like the pattern block, but I also liked seeing the entire quilt in only two colors. I was thinking of making one in r/w/b for American Hero Quilts.
