and
my day in the Foodie Blog Hop.
To all that are participating or visiting and commenting -
Thank you so much!
Yesterday was amazing!
I'm excited to share my Foodie project -
Layer Cake Market Bag.
In this day and age, we are all a little more aware of our environment and the less trash the better.
I hate those little plastic bags at the store and would rather pick up my groceries with a reusable bag(s). This is the newest one of the many I've made.
Why not make it a fun, HUGE eclectic bag with lots of colors?
The fabric in this one is a 10" stack of "Punch" by Island Batik.
I designed the bag to use one layer cake.
It's so fun to play with all those 10" squares.
It's my most requested bag pattern, but it's out of print.
So, I had planned to offer a new version of the pattern today.
Oh, life...
But, I'm working on the new version and should have it ready soon in my Etsy Shop.

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I was wishing I had a bag this size last night!
ReplyDeleteYou will be able to get tons of groceries in that fun bright bag.
ReplyDeleteThat is a whopper of a bag! Love the bright batiks.
ReplyDeleteLove your bag! I need to make some of my own market bags. I use reusable bags but none as beautiful as this one.
ReplyDeleteI love this bag, Carla! I made one several years ago when you had the pattern on Crafty. The size is awesome for carrying lots of stuff. I'm sure your visitors on the blog will want the pattern, whenever you have it finished for your shop.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bag, and I love how large it is!
ReplyDeletethis bag looks like so much fun. Thanks for sharing today. this hop is so fun so far. thanks
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!! and happy and bright!
ReplyDeleteA terrific large shopping bag! It looks really happy to be going to market...that would make me a little more happy about going too!
ReplyDeleteGreat bag, I love it! I'd love to obtain your pattern when it is available.
ReplyDeleteI love this super big bag! I use it for carrying my sewing items when visiting my kids. It holds all the extras I need - iron, wool mat, notions, thread, cutting mat, and anything else I may need.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bag and beautiful, too! I love how big it is...more room for fabric or food!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh...that market bag is nice and roomy. Love your fabrics too. You will definitely be the most stylin' gal in the market now!
ReplyDeleteI too have a really big bag that I use for an overnighter plus. I love your colours, eye popping and fun.Think I may need to make a repeat but using those bright colours.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great bag, Carla!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this great blog hop!
ReplyDeleteYour market bag looks perfect for putting tons of stuff in it!
What a fun and colorful bag! Big enough to hold a lot too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun, bright and happy bag. Great use of layer cakes with the theme of food. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteHow nice and I like all the colors. Reusable bags...I used to have them with me every time I went to the grocery store. They wouldn't use them during the pandemic; I should ask now to see if I can begin bringing them again. Ditto the plastic bags at the grocery store. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fabulous bag. Perfect for grocery shops.
ReplyDeleteThat is one great market bag....lots of room for lots of things.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty bag! Perfect for groceries :) Love that you can make it from 10" squares! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and eye-catching bag! I bet you'll get lots of compliments at the market. I find I usually need a smaller one myself, or I will overload with all the canned goods and then it's too heavy to carry. But boxes of Kleenex would work great! LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat bag! I love the reusable bags, but then I also recycle my bags if I use the plastic ones. I reuse feed bags to make grocery bags too.
ReplyDeleteI love your bag! It looks like it would work well for the beach too
ReplyDeleteOh Carla that is just the perfect bag, whether it’s for the market, the beach or on your way to a retreat!
