Pink Ribbons Quilt - Tickled Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to Creatin' in the Sticks
and
my day - the final day for the Tickled Pink Blog Hop.

To all that participated or commented -
Thank you so much!

My head is swimming with all kinds of love
and I can't wait to try some new pink projects.

But first, it's my day to show my
Pink Ribbons Quilt.

When the idea for this hop came along, my first thought was that I needed to use up some of the pink scraps in my ever-growing stash.
With a Granddaughter, it seems I've accumulated a lot of pink fabric.
Trouble is, she really would rather have blue now that she is a little older.

My daughter brought her over and we had a great time making her first Valentine box.
It was all made by her with a purchased heart box and stickers.
Grampy cut the hole in the top
 and
her mommy wrote her name in glue.
Elizabeth was all about adding the glitter to the glue!

My daughter and granddaughter showed off the masterpiece Valentine box.

My kitchen is in the middle of a remodel - what a mess!
But we had fun!
You could say we were
"Tickled Pink"

I needed a simple project as you can see - with my house in a crazy mess.
It started with simple blocks and the idea was to have ribbons of pink,
but I hated it once I started stitching the ribbons together.

So I pieced a heart together with pink fabrics and bordered it with the pink ribbon blocks
and now
I love it.

I enjoy hosting blog hop events so much!

Joan from Moosestash QuiltingCarol from Just Let Me Quilt

  17. Carla I’d like to thank you for a great, fun-filled hop with so many ways to share love. Your little quilt is so sweet. The way you changed up your ribbons to make you happy is wonderful. The kitchen redo will get done, but you have the idea right; Time with your daughter and granddaughter fixing the perfect Valentine’s box is the best photo to share today. Family time is the best. 😉
