Welcome to Creatin' in the Sticks
and
my day - the final day for the In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop.
To all that participated or commented -
Thank you so much!
I enjoy hosting blog hop events so much.
My head is swimming with all kinds of ideas
and I can't wait to get to stitching.
But first, it's my day to show my
Patchwork for the Kitchen.
I didn't want sawdust in my new kitchen pretties...
I'm working on using up the fabric in my stash this year.
This patchwork dish towel and potholders
were super fun to make and used up some 2 1/2" squares.
and
this was the perfect opportunity to
follow a tutorial over at Crazy Mom Quilts I had seen for a Simple Patchwork Dish Towel.
Then an "aha" moment!
This is the perfect project for those little mini charm packs.
And is perfect for Halloween or for gifts!
Then another "aha" moment!
This is the perfect project for those 3" quilt blocks I've had sitting in a box.
We are celebrating the kitchen
with projects during the
with projects during the
In the Kitchen Stitchin' blog hop.
I'm sharing my day with these bloggers:

Love your all towel and potholder sets. The first set are so bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteAll adorable kitchen items. I really love the towels with the 3" blocks a lot.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of using the 3" blocks. I made several to challenge myself several months back and I didn't know what to do with them till now. Your pot holders and dish towels are great. Thank you for sharing and for hosting this awesome hop!
ReplyDeleteCarla, when you get back into your kitchen, it is going to be a pretty darn happy place to be with all these new pretties! Flour sack dish towels are my absolute favorite. My love for them go way back to my grandmother. She always stitched a colorful decorative stitch around the edges with embroidery floss. Mine just get used as is. How boring is that! But now you’ve inspired me to pretty them up. Making a set of potholders to match is awesome! I love all your sets, I’ve tried to choose a favorite but it can’t be done.
ReplyDeleteBig thanks for organizing this blog hop!!!
Oh I love all your projects! The halloween ones are my fav!
ReplyDeleteI love all your towels and pot holders! So charming; forgive the silly pun. This is a great hop!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the hop, it's been so much fun. I like your new accessories for your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteLove the potholders and towels. Such a great idea to use 3" blocks on those towels. I have to check my boxes. Thank you for a great hop....again.
ReplyDeleteyour projects are so sweet. i love how you used what you have around and turned them into something useful and pretty. thanks for sharing and inspiring today
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you have wow'd us with your creativity. Using up your stash has definitely produced some beautiful kitchen items. Of course, I am leaning towards the Halloween ones as my favorites, but I love them all! Thank you for sharing ways to use our stash for the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThose are all so beautiful! I love the bright, the Halloween and those tiny pieced blocks oh my! I wouldn't want to use them at all and get the white towels all dirty. My hubby bought black towels for our kitchen for that very reason is they won't show any dirt or pasta sauce on them, lol!
ReplyDeleteThree fabulous ways to spruce up that incredible stove of yours, Carla!!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful and would certainly brighten up any kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your towels and hot pads, Carla! They are sew pretty--every single one of them. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow! You've been busy stitchin' for the kitchen, and I love all of your projects. I'm feeling inspired to use up some of my odds and ends to make a few more pretties. Thank you for hosting the blog hop- it has been fun!
ReplyDeleteYou win the prettiest kitchen award with these beauties!
ReplyDeleteLove how you did the flour sac towels and potholders!! Thanks for sharing and thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteAwesome towels
ReplyDeletelove the idea of gift sets especially using up scraps. Using those 3" blocks was a stellar idea for 'using' at the grill.
ReplyDeleteCarla, your projects are wonderful. My first thought was that the brightly colored ones were my favorites but then you threw in the Halloween ones and the orphan blocks in black and white...oh dear. Love them all. Thanks, too, for all your organizational skills. It's been a fun hop - definitely some inspiration for me to get working on those kitchen projects.
ReplyDeleteI just love all of your projects and yes what a great idea to use mini charms for the pot holders. Thanks for hosting such a fun blog hop :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you for sharing your projects, creating this hop and continually inspiring us!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea. I like the different variations.
ReplyDeleteYour towels are great and this has been one of my favorite Hops! So many neat ideas from a very creative bunch. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove your towel sets!
ReplyDeleteCarla you do have some fun projects and since I’m working from my stash, too, you just inspired me. Somewhere I have some mini Christmas charms and just remembered I had picked up some kitchen towels with a little red truck on them. It’s time to find them and play I think. 😉
ReplyDeletePerfect projects to use up scraps! Another great blog hop, thanks so much Carla!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I didn't post my Kitchen Stitchin' this week. I had a total mental block on this one. I couldn't come up with any thing to use for this blog hop. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteHow strange, I was sure I commented on this. Love the use of the charm squares and the hop was fabulous - as always. Thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what a great way to use up so many things we have laying around in our sewing rooms. You know you hit Carol Swift and I right in our Halloween lovin' hearts one of those fun kitchen sets. I LOVE your stove. How cool is that? Thanks for hosting this fun hop, hope your kitchen is put back together soon.
