Patchwork for the Kitchen - In The Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop

Welcome to Creatin' in the Sticks
and
my day - the final day for the In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop.

To all that participated or commented -
Thank you so much!
I enjoy hosting blog hop events so much.

My head is swimming with all kinds of ideas
and I can't wait to get to stitching.

But first, it's my day to show my
Patchwork for the Kitchen.

My kitchen has been undergoing a floor renovation so I had to take my pictures outside.
I didn't want sawdust in my new kitchen pretties...

I'm working on using up the fabric in my stash this year.

This patchwork dish towel and potholders
were super fun to make and used up some 2 1/2" squares.

I purchased this package of Flour Sack Towels at my local Sam's several years ago
and
this was the perfect opportunity to
follow a tutorial over at Crazy Mom Quilts I had seen for a Simple Patchwork Dish Towel.

Then an "aha" moment!
This is the perfect project for those little mini charm packs.

And is perfect for Halloween or for gifts!

Then another "aha" moment!
This is the perfect project for those 3" quilt blocks I've had sitting in a box.

Great for the grill too!

We are celebrating the kitchen
with projects during the
In the Kitchen Stitchin' blog hop.

I'm sharing my day with these bloggers:

This blog hop is for everyone!
Have fun visiting each blog and making new friends.

They have worked hard to show us some new ideas, so be sure to thank them with
a sweet comment!

In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop This Week

We've all spent a lot more time at home the last year.

I've spent more time cooking than I ever have.

I've realized my kitchen could use a few new pretty things so I've invited my blogging friends to show off some kitchen stitching projects to inspire.

The
In the Kitchen Blog Hop
is this week.

What is a Blog Hop?

It's like a "show and tell" online.
Our blog hops feature sewing and quilting and are like joining a quilt guild without leaving home.
Carol at Just Let Me Quilt and I come up with a challenge
and invite bloggers to email with their blog information if they want to join our hop.

After we get that info, we assign a date for them to post their project.
We give everyone plenty of time to sew something, usually two months.

We inspire each other with projects, tutorials, or patterns.
Anyone can follow along!

I can't wait to see all the projects!

Check out this great group of bloggers that are
In the Kitchen Stitchin'
Be sure to visit and leave some comment love!

In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop Schedule:

The May blog hop, Born to be Wild, will be hosted by Carol.

The June blog hop will be announced soon and I will be hosting.
Stay tuned...

In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop - Next Week

Next week we are celebrating the kitchen
with projects during the
In the Kitchen Stitchin' blog hop.

I've invited a great group of bloggers to show us project inspired by the kitchen and for the kitchen.

There will be
pot holders, tea towels, coasters, placemats, table runners, mug rugs, or even a toaster cover.
It's the bloggers' interpretation of kitchen projects.

What is a Blog Hop?

It's like a "show and tell" online.
Our blog hops feature sewing and quilting and are like joining a quilt guild without leaving home.  Once the theme (challenge) is presented we set to work sewing.
We inspire each other with projects, tutorials, or patterns.
Anyone can follow along.

I'm excited to cheer for
this awesome list of bloggers
who are ready to show kitchen-inspired projects.
