This is the fourth challenge of Season 12 of Project Quilting.
I'm excited to join in the challenge - Snail's Trail
My entry:
Pink Trail
Kim at Persimon Dreams hosts Project Quilting
and
and
this is the 9th year I'm participating.
Kim announces a challenge and you have one week to create something quilty.
Prizes can be won and it's a great way to meet new blogging friends.
The rules in this challenge are that the project must be inspired by the snail's trail quilt block. It must include either applique, piecing, or have 3 layers stitched together by hand or machine.
I'm on a roll with paper pieced pincushions (this is my 4th)
so
I kept with my season 12 theme and made a tiny snail's trail block with some modifications.
The block is a fun one, but I wanted to add more fabrics to it.
I drew the block and divided each section into itty bitty segments.
The finished pincushion is 4" square so you can imagine how small these pieces are.
I've had inquiries into what I use for foundation paper piecing -
I use tweezers to remove those little bits.
There is just something about pairing pink and black together.
It's one of my favorite color combinations.
