Fabulous Freebies Blog Hop Comes to Creatin' in the Sticks

Welcome to Creatin' in the Sticks
and
the Fabulous Freebies Blog Hop.

Joan over at MooseStash Quilting
is the brilliant mind behind this hop to share FREE online patterns.

It's been a great year here in the Sticks
and
it all started with the
Challenge.

that are fast and fun to make alone or combined in countless combinations
for quick quilts.

I've made it a goal to make a quilt out of each block
and
today I've made one of the most popular of all the blocks into a quilt.

The block is Dutch Door (Block #4)
and is the 3rd most popular of all 30 blocks.
(This statistic is from page visits and Pinterest shares)

This block is so great for beginning quilters
and
a fun, fast block for a modern quilt.

This Dutch Door Quilt is made from 20 blocks and a 1" finished border.
Size:  42" x 52"

The fabric is from the Charlotte Collection by Anna Griffin with a background of Kona white.

The quilt has lots of negative space for some fun quilting.

I tried a different backing fabric and it's so pretty.

It's a flannel backed satin and it quilts so beautifully.  It's buttery soft too.

Thank you, Joan, for this super fun hop!

Here is the full schedule for more freebies:

Monday August 20

Happy Hopping
and
Don't forget to thank the designers for the free patterns.
(That's a lot of work for no payment)

And a little reminder - sign-ups for the
Pick a Pumpkin
Blog Hop

and I would love for you to join us.
