I'm posting block 2 a little early because tomorrow is a big day here in the Sticks.
Tomorrow is the day to share cookie recipes
There will be a very nice giveaway here in the sticks,
so come back to check it out!!!!!
On to block #2
In honor of the cookie exchange, I'm calling this one
Double Stuffed
Size Unfinished: 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
Finished Size: 10 x 10"
Cut 3 strips:
1 for the middle: 5 1/2" x 10 1/2"
2 for top and bottom: 3" x 10 1/2"
Stitch them together as laid out with 1/4" seams.
The second block of the 30 Day Quilt Block Challenge is finished.
Faster than the first? Maybe, but why not.
You could make a bunch of these blocks by just cutting the strips the width of the fabric then stitching the strips together.
Three or four (depending on the width of the fabric) 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" blocks could be cut out of a strip set.
Then you could make a super fast quilt.
Check out how great this block would be in a 4 x 4 grid with 3" borders.
Who says blocks need to be complicated?
Not me...
I love seeing what a bigger quilt looks like using the design.
ReplyDeleteYES, I AGREE, SEEING IT A BIGGER ARRANGEMENT IS VERY BENEFICIAL. IT GETS THE WHEELS TURNING. HAHAHAHA!!!
