Last week when I finished Happy Hippos for the H2H Charity Quilt Challenge
I mentioned this quilt.
Happy Hexies is a FINISH!!
On time to donate, too!
These hexie blocks have been laying around for almost a year.
I made 2 of them and the others came from some of the ladies in my Modern Block Party Group.
My month was towards the end of the group's year and I didn't receive all of the blocks for a full quilt, so I made this throw to donate to Happy Chemo.
Happy Chemo is an organization that provides quilts and comfort for chemo patients.
I had a lot of help with the quilt, including the photography....
The blocks are called Hexing Around and the free pattern is by Lee at Freshly Pieced.
The binding is pieced from all the leftover fabrics.
I used this quilt to practice some of the pre-loaded quilt patterns on the Handi Quilter.
I can't believe how fun it is. I have a lot to learn, but it's starting to be a little easier.
Here is a picture of the back to show a little more of the quilting.
Happy Hexies is a 48" x 60" throw and is labeled and ready to ship.
Hope they like it.
I love it, Carla! So bright and fresh looking (and your dog is pretty, too!) Thanks for joining in H2H this year!
