My Crazy Valentine Apron (and more) - Hugs and Kisses

Welcome to my day on the
 Hugs & Kisses Blog Hop.

 For this hop
everyone had 3 patterns to work with
and
designed.

THANK YOU
To these
Ladies.

These patterns are a blast to work with.
If you would like these paper piece patterns
they are available

( all proceeds will be going to 2 charities)

This is what the patterns look like.
We could use one, two or  three of the above patterns  and create anything

With all the snow storms recently, I've needed some help at work
rescheduling appointments.
(I live over an hour away from work and when the roads are bad, I don't go)

Making a little thank you gift for the salon coordinator
was high on my priority list.
She loves aprons and really loved the
apron

It was time to make her
 My Crazy Valentine Apron

It's reversible!  A good girl, bad girl kind of thing....

The back of the apron is pieced with
Alexander Henry pin-up fabric.

If you look too close
it may cause a little blushing...lol

The perfect Valentine's Day Present
for a single gal.
(and a sports nut)

Using the quilt block patterns by
Madame Samm
and Soma
for the front of the apron,
the pockets are the patterns
shrunk by 50%
(talk about some scrap busting with tiny pieces)
then
lined and adorned with ruffles.

Here she is
hamming it up with
with another stylist
ready to get her baking on.

She can bake up some sweet treats for the girls at work *hint, hint

Next on my list of Valentines...

This one for me!!
In
My favorite colors!

Once again, I shrunk the patterns
50%
and scattered them with
the full sized patterns to make a
table runner with batiks.

The corners are embellished with
 heart shaped
 yo-yos and buttons.

The back -  I love the chevron batik
and used it for the binding also.
LOVE!

  7. Well, I am an "ANTI-Apron"wearer, I confess, I never used one up to now... UP to NOW, and you know, I am a bad girl, I would turn the apron and show the beautiful bodies of these.... sportive men.... haha. For this apron, I would make an exception, oooooh yes :-))
But my favourite is your table runner, the fabrics are top, the layout is top, even the backing is top, LOL! You made my day, yes!
And by the way, your new avatar is over the TOP, yippiiii yaaaa

  13. Why, oh why, am I seeing so many cute ruffles with the hearts? lol The apron is adorable. You are so clever and shruken patterns are a great idea. You did a wonderful job! I'm not an apron wearer and I might be now. Making it reversible is a terrific idea! And now that table runner is stunning! I love combining the two sizes of patterns. It sure adds variety. Aqua and red are very stunning. You've been a busy, busy gal. Thanks for participating and being a great inspiration for what can be accomplished.

  21. That apron is off the chart and the backing is a hoot!!!!! You have succeeded to fulfill the reputation as that "other, other lady". Or is it just one "other lady". lol. I can't keep track, I just know you're awesome! Those Alexander Henry fabrics are so much fun. I've had a couple of customers bring me quilts with backing on them like that. My favorite was a western one on the front and then those guys on the back. She called it the "Naked Cowboy" quilt and entered it in the quilt show as that. It gathered much attention! lol
