Cardinal in my window |
I made a pillow using Postcard Garden fabrics from Red Rooster Fabrics that I picked up on the 520 mile quilt shop hop I went on back in April.
It's a 14" cushion with the cardinal postcard and a 4 patch appliqued onto the brown fabric with blanket stitching. The quilting is straight line and I made my own piping for the edge.
I spent the rest of today trying to get the perfect picture of my pillow and the Cardinal. He actually came over to it....
And then...
I think I'll see how long he stays. I'm becoming quite the bird watcher.
Have a great weekend,
Oh my goodness! How precious is that!
ReplyDeleteCardinals are such an inspiration for quilting, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have made a pillow of one too... To go into the "birdwatching chair" in my aunt and uncle's house in Florida. ( i finished mine just in time to go into the suitcase for my vacation )
Your pillow is wonderful! The bird agrees with me!

ReplyDeleteIn my excitement to go and view the house, I didn't finish properly!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cardinal and a great cushion :)
What a nice pillow! I enjoy watching and feeding the birds also. Even got the husband interested in bird watching!
ReplyDeletePerfect picture, indeed!
ReplyDeleteLove the cushion!
That is sweet. We have a lot of quail trying to keep cool in the water dishes around the yard. N
ReplyDeleteAs long as he's not pooping on that gorgeous pillow! Or pecking at it. ;-) Lovely work!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I miss cardinals living out West! Nice of you to share!
