Snow on May 2, 2013 What a spring... |
The snow is gone now, but it is cold! The blasted weather man said last week's winter chill was the last of the season. He LIED. I should have been a weather man. Seems like they get paid even when they get it wrong.....
Moving on (sorry), my goal for May in A Lovely Year of Finishes is to finish a lap quilt to send to Happy Chemo, an organization that provides quilts and comfort for chemo patients.
Blocks for May Goal |
I have a couple of blocks finished. I am using a batik charm pack (Love Letters) by MODA to make a very calming quilt. I want to provide a more masculine quilt as I'm sure they have plenty of quilts for women and children.
This weekend my goal is to make a block for Quilts for Boston. The Boston Modern Quilt Guild will be putting quilts together to support those in need. If you are interested in helping, just click on this button for more info.
Happy Thursday and I hope it is warm where YOU are,
It just doesn't seem right to see (or have) snow in May. I hope spring arrives soon.
ReplyDeleteAll the best with your goals. We had snow twice on the week end!
ReplyDeleteYou have snow too? I thought we were the unlucky ones here in Norway to have it in May. Today there's even more snow here. I'm sick of it, and longing for spring. A quilt for charity is good. This will come out beautifully, for sure.
ReplyDeleteHere in CO,it seams like we get a tiny taste of spring, then back into winter we go :( So you are not the only one... I love batiks, and your blocks are lovely!
