Fall Quilt Market 2019 - My Little Contributions

I will admit, I am a little (lot) bummed I am not at quilt market
this weekend.
I went back and forth about whether to go or not.

The decision to stay was based on the fact that I would have to go by myself
and
that isn't really an option for me right now.

BUT, I do have a few items on display at market.

and
it's over in the Thermoweb booth #1848.

Go check out the new products.
I heard there is a NEW HeatnBond EZ Tee Stabilizer that’s perfect for Tee-shirt quilts!

Check out my
there too.

I spent one-day last month playing with a new fabric collection
by Jackie Kunkle for Island Batik called Ancient Etchings.
Island Batik asked me to make

Here she is at market, Booth #1920, with her friend Lloyd Llama made by another
Island Batik Ambassador,
Jennifer at Curlicue Creations.

.  Someone gave them pompom collars.
  So cute...

The Stu the Sea Turtle was made by Island Batik Ambassador, Vasudha Govindan of Storied Quilts, I believe.

More info on the other can be found on Canton Village Quilt Works Facebook post by clicking HERE.
The fabrics are available in shops in Jan/Feb 2020.

I do have one other item in Houston,
but I'll post more on that later.

Top it Off with Witchy Stitchy

Welcome
to
the first day of the
Witchy Stitchy Blog Hop.

I'm happy to kick things off with
my
little
Witchy Stitchy Witchy.

I love Halloween, but no one does Halloween projects like Carol at Just Let Me Quilt.
She is perfect to lead us on this spooky journey.
Thank you, Carol, for inviting me to join this super fun blog hop!

My stitching for the hop is pulling double duty.

You see,
I am an Island Batik Ambassador for 2019
and every month there is an ambassador challenge.
The Island Batik Ambassador Challenge
this month is
"Top it Off"
with
either a holiday table topper or runner that includes applique.

So I combined the hop and challenge and today I present to you,
Stitchy Witchy
my Halloween table runner.

Look at all the little helpers I had to stitch up my
12" x 42" table runner.

I created the pattern with Electric Quilt.
Next, I pieced the pumpkin blocks with
Island Batik Foundation fabrics.

Then the stitching witches were
appliqued with Island Batik stash fabrics
and
my favorite fabric adhesive,

(no tracing!)

I stitched around my little witches with Aurifil 50 wt thread #4225 with a blanket stitch and the quilting is meandering leaves.  The rest is a meandering stitch with Aurifil 50 wt #2150.

Hobbs provided the Ambassadors with batting
and I chose to use the Heirloom Natural Cotton Batting for the Witchy Stitchy table runner.

I had so much fun choosing the
Witchy Stitchy outfits
with the bright and colorful

Each witch is colored differently and each one is stitching with a line of thread
that was triple stitched by machine.

for the Witchy Stitchy
Blog Hop today.
