Christmas Craft Ideas

It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but if anyone is planning to give homemade gifts for Christmas it is time to get your crafting on.  Christmas will be here before you know it.

You can find great Christmas gift projects over at the Thermoweb blog this week
and
I want to make them all!

My friend Carol over at Just Let Me Quilt has a great pattern for this Santa mug rug with a pocket that is perfect to slip in treats or a letter for the big man.

Carol made her mug rug with black and white fabrics and super shiny gold iCraft Deco Foil stars.
It caught my eye and I just had to make one with her easy to follow instructions.
You can see Carol's version and pick up the pattern by clicking HERE.

Carol is also hosting a Virtual Cookie Exchange Blog Hop from
December 5th to December 8th
If you would like to participate, click HERE to sign up.
I can't wait to get new cookie recipes for the holidays.

The drawstring bag above was made with ribbon, interfacing, and lining fabric.
Just like these.

And then the same technique, but different weaving led to a Christmas pillow.

Weave up your own shiny holiday projects with my tutorial by clicking HERE.

Oh my, but there are so many projects to make.
Some of the projects featured this week over at Thermoweb are slippers, little money holder stockings, a mug cozy, ornaments,  and a candle holder.
There are many more ideas to get your Christmas crafting started.

And maybe, just maybe that's what we need this week.

Love one another
 and
don't forget to thank a Veteran today.

Happy Veteran's Day.
Thank you to all that have served.

This pattern is free in my Craftsy pattern shop.
