A gift for my Pokémon Go guys. Am I the only one not playing this game?

This was in my head this week and I decided to put it to fabric.

If you play the game, you know what this is.
I only know because I've seen people wandering around aimlessly with their phones
as I'm looking out the window at work
AND
my husband and son seem to have caught this bug.

Last weekend my hubby spent the weekend with our son in Northeast Kansas playing in a disc golf tournament and I had a weekend of catching up on sewing, reading, and cleaning.
When it took him an extra couple hours to get home from the trip, I was a little concerned.
Then I found out why....
I guess there were things to capture and collect on the way home.

He showed me a little about the game and I now understand kind of get it.
I've decided NOT to download the app, but I can certainly participate in my own way.
Sewing up a Poké Ball.

I started on EQ7 by drawing the ball above, then gathered my materials, fused the fabrics with Heat-n-Bond lite, cut them out, and fused them on a manicured lawn background.
A little royal blue faux piping and yellow binding complete the color scheme of

Are you playing this game?
If you are, here is a 16" x 16" pillow to rest your head when you're at PokéStops.

Happy weekend
and
good luck catching wild Pokémon.

I saw the in-progress shot in your Instagram feed! Such fun. I love the way it turned out.

I'm not playing the game either but I'm pretty sure our oldest daughter and youngest son probably are.

I've heard that it is all the rage, but I am not into it either. I'll have to have the grandchildren explain it to me. lol

Nice job on the pillow design.

This is awesome! Good for you for jumping on a trend and having this done before the game is "so yesterday". Lol. I am not playing, but I've seen groups of people, young and oldish alike gathered at places I assume are pokestops staring at their phones. I don't get it personally, but it's kinda fun to witness the birth of a craze!!

Great work!

My phone service keeps popping up the offer to download it, but I don't care to and so I haven't. There are many other things I would rather do.

Aren't you a good mum! I'm not playing either and trying hard to talk the little person in my house that he doesn't need to either! Wish me luck with that one!

Hi, Carla! Haven't been by in awhile....I've got some catching up to do! You are way too clever! My daughter would love this! She's playing as a way to spend time with her stepson, and they're having great fun. Enjoy your weekend! XO

I'm not playing, but I have several family members chasing after Pokemon things...at least I think that's what they are doing. Love the pillow!

I am not playing but during a hike last week I saw a bunch of kids sticking their phones down next to the water to "catch" them...I kept expecting someone to drop their phone...
